Supporting the Temwa tree project in Malawi

Temwa is a UK organisation that raises funds to implement community-based projects in Malawi, southern Africa. The Usisya area of Malawi is a particulalry remote region which has no electricity, no running water and is severely affected by the AIDS epidemic. Temwa aims to help build a sustainable future for the people of this region through community-based projects, enabling them to become self sufficient and giving them hope for their families' futures.

Sift Media has been a friend of Temwa for some time and last year raised £4,500 at the 2009 Software Satisfaction Awards - and we're delighted to say the donation is 'taking root'. We've been told that a nursery of young tree saplings, funded by the donation, is happily growing and will soon be distributed to local communities in Malawi. Our thanks to those companies who donated generously to the cause: KashFlow; Liquid Accounts; Pegasus; Phocas; and UNIT4.
